Handshive

HANDSHIVE (pronounced HAND-SHIVE) are a songwriting partnership of many years.

James writes the lyrics, Richard creates the music in whatever order the mood takes us.

We write all kinds of songs and love to share them with you in the hope that our musical and lyrical brews will speak to you in moments that mean something to you.

Music

MUSIC is for everyone and songwriters like us are mere channels who have the gift and good fortune of being able to tap into something wonderful.

If any part of our creations lift you or stir an emotion within you, then we are grateful and hope we have added something good to your world.

As always, you decide.

Collaboration

Positive, mutually respectful COLLABORATION

is at the core of our writing.

It helps to generate new ideas especially when that perfect missing piece remains elusive.

Jim lives in Perthshire and Richard in Cornwall, so usually, Jim writes a lyric and Richard writes the music separately, but collaboration always yields the best results.

Thank you

So, THANK YOU so much for visiting our website. Our music is nothing without an audience, but everything to us with your participation.

Do enjoy the songs, we'd love to hear from you anytime.

Love, respect and thanks,

Richard and James
